Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum

The first "Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum", took place in Brussels on the 25 and 26 March 2009, on the premises of European Commission, with 420 attendees from most of the African countries.
Several participants to our Montpellier Workshop took part; Boubakar Barry,Robert Klapisch, Monique Petitdidier,Maurice Tchuente, Guy Wormser and of course Thierry Devars, as organiser for the Directorate General "Information Society" of the European Commission. Ibrahima Niang , was invited but could not attend and was represented by his Deputy Modou Fall.

The progress towards realising the Montpellier Agenda were very apparent.

Boubakar Barry spoke on the next steps in realising "Africa Connect" for which he is responsible.

Robert Klapisch briefly presented the Foundation and the role of 'Institut des Grilles in the installation de la Grid atUniversity Cheikh Anta Diop in Sénégal
